Technical Program Manager, Content Creators

The Content Creators team builds products, experiences, and services for any entity producing content for public consumption on Snapchat. Our customers range from community creators native to Snapchat, to popular cultural personalities, to large-scale media companies and publishers. Our products cover the full stack, with deeply embedded features within the flagship Snapchat app, as well as independent web applications. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join the Content Creators engineering team!
What you'll do:
- You will drive the execution of cross-functional projects within the Content Creators space, collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, Design, and Content Strategy & Operations
- You will own and drive adoption of team-wide program management mechanisms to ensure our roadmaps are kept up-to-date to drive the most significant outcomes, and that we hold ourselves accountable by completing those roadmaps with excellence, predictability, and efficiency.
- You will establish and follow a thorough cadence for planning, release, communication, and supervising with partners, ensuring technology quality and on-time delivery.
- You will personally drive the execution of critical/special projects
- You will ensure consistent adoption and application of company/department-wide operational mechanisms and standard processes (eg. OKRs, Incident Management, Cost Planning, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- A relationship builder with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to grasp advanced concepts
- Experience in project schedule management and work breakdown structures
- Capacity to work in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
- A demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively (mobilizes resources, sets clear goals, identifies roadblocks, designs solutions, and tracks progress against deadlines)
- Someone who can prioritize, focus, and is a customer-focused independent thinker and problem solver, frequently filling in the gaps for engineering, product management, and design
- An individual who is self-motivated, driven, and has validated dedication to take accountability and responsibility for the success of large initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in a technical or quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience leading cross-functional programs in the software industry, with mastery over project management tools
- Prior experience leading the development of large-scale multi-platform (e.g. iOS, Android, web, Connected TV, etc.) consumer-facing products/features
- Self-sufficient with data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Presto, BigQuery, Redshift) and visualization/dashboarding tools (e.g. Grafana, Looker, Tableau, DataStudio)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of validated experience in the creator economy
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and service oriented architectures
Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which identifies the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future. At this time, we are hiring for two locations out of Zone A (CA and NYC).
- Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) : The base salary range for this position is $165,000 - 230,000 annually
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
