The job

The Nordstrom Mobile Apps team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager with to join our team. The Nordstrom mobile apps are Nordstrom's fastest-growing ecommerce platform. Our mission is to provide the same legendary level of service and experience customers know from our stores on our mobile platforms.
Senior Technical Program Manager is part of a key team of Technology professionals managing technical programs that deliver significant business value to Nordstrom and its customers. Nordstrom help create an inspiring workplace where talented people are empowered to drive amazing customer experiences and business results. They are able to identify unaddressed issues, work on solutions or find the appropriate owner to ensure only high-quality deliverables are released. Success is measured in terms of A/B testing, new capabilities, and benefit delivery. The Senior Program Manager partners with internal stakeholders to develop, design, build and launch technology solutions, and are responsible for end-to-end quality of what is released. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. This position works across department and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope, risk and complexity.
A day in the life...

  • Manage programs of high impact, risk, complexity while building and executing integrated plans across multiple teams
  • Lead, influence and deliver squad deliverables and scope
  • Help innovate and drive process improvements
  • Apply experience as well as technical, functional and customer expertise to define the technical components of a multi-year capability roadmap
  • Working across the Nordstrom technology organization to integrate with services that power our industry-leading ecommerce experience.
  • Collaborating with our product managers and engineers to deliver value add to our customers
  • Leading on-call incidents and using telemetry to diagnose issues and involve the right partner teams.


This is you if you have...

  • A 4-year degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Program Management experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful program delivery
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, using technology to drive key business metrics
  • Experience with lean software development and A/B experimentation
  • Passion to learn about technology and the mobile space
