Job Description
A Technical Program Manager 2 is part of a key team of Technology professionals managing technical programs that deliver significant business value to Nordstrom and its customers.\\nTechnical Program Manager 2 partners with Engineering leadership and internal stakeholders to develop, design, build and launch technology solutions, and are responsible for end-to-end quality of what is released. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. This position works across department and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope, risk and complexity.\\n\\nThe Product Platform team is seeking a Technical Program Manager 2 to support engineering teams as we intensify the pace of innovation and move towards future growth through technology solutions. You will be working across multiple areas within Product Platform: Product data Management, Product Search, Product Catalog, tooling to enable Product set up, enrichment, selling, buying, planning, allocation.\\nWe will be building set of APIs, UI, search capabilities, data streaming and governance processes intended to support integrations with all Nordstrom suppliers and provide data to manage the selection, buying, setup, purchase, enrichment and selling processes end to end.\\n\\nAcross the domain you will drive a vision to leverage cloud technologies and industry best practices to create our next generation platform. You will own both producers and consumers of product data and are able to power greater automation of the full Product lifecycle for one of North America's top fashion retailers.\\n\\nA day in the life...\\nManage programs of high impact, risk, complexity while building and executing integrated plans across multiple teams\\nCollaborates with Product Management, technology teams across the organization to identify and prioritize solutions and build a roadmap that can be delivered\\nUnderstand the product, features, business value and helps set prioritize goals and deliverables for engineering teams for each Sprint\\nCollaborates with product Management on the vision of the Product, breaks down Epics into User stories and use cases that are well written for dev teams to be actionable\\nWorks with engineering manager and lead engineering teams to ensure speed and quality of delivery,\\nManage a mix of in-house build APIs and web apps and suites of integrated vendor products to provide a cohesive platform for our business to rapidly iterate, constantly improve and deliver great fashions\\nParticipate in design and code review to ensure quality and testability of feature code\\nPresent demos, status updates and risk/mitigation strategies and communicate\\nApply experience as well as technical, functional and customer expertise to define the technical components of a multi-year capability road map\\nPossess strong level knowledge of technology (e.g. Cloud, APIs, services, open source, database technologies, etc.)\\nManage risks, assumptions, dependencies (classic program/project stuff)\\nManage resource planning and a large team budget, accurately forecasting 6 months ahead and explaining variances\\nIdentifies and produces valuable analytics for improved performance and business decisions\\nProactively looks for opportunities to improve processes, Quality and efficiency.\\nManage vendor relationships for Third party software\\nHelp Development teams achieve higher level of maturity and self-organization\\nBe the trusted partner for Product Management\\nStrong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills\\n\\nQualifications\\nA 4-year degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience\\n3+ years of Program Management experience\\n3 + years of demonstrated successful program deliver\\nAn understanding of SDLC methodologies\\nExperience translating technical requirements into plans\\nExperience supporting retail systems\\nAgile, lean, and Kanban delivery process experience\\n\\nThis range may vary for candidates hired to work in locations other than Colorado.\\n\\nMinimum = $70,600/annually\\n\\nMaximum = $112,700/annually
