The Mixed Reality Devices and Technology PMO team is looking for a technical communications program manager to join our team.

The Devices and Technology PMO team is at the heart of driving Mixed Reality hardware development across our product portfolio.

We are seeking a Program Manager with excellent communication skills (writing, editing, and presentations), with a passion to motivate and drive the work of a high performing, high impact team.

  • Lead the technical communications for our programs.
  • Own the internal communication strategy for the Devices and Technology team.
  • Guide the improvements to the Mixed Reality End to End product development process.
  • Collaborate across disciplines, teams, and organizational boundaries.
  • Contribute to a team culture that embraces diversity and inclusion and makes your team an awesome place to work.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience managing technical writing programs
  • 2+ years of Program Management, technical writing, or communications experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
  • Proven ability to establish trusted, effective relationships across diverse sets of stakeholders.
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable dealing with ambiguity of innovation in a developing business category.
  • Good project managements skills for complex, large-scale, interdependent engineering systems.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services governed by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Due to contractual limitations and ITAR obligations associated with this role, U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) is required.
