Job Description What You’ll Do
Develop and mature a sustainable supplier diversity program that encourages the use of business owned by veterans, minorities, women, the disabled and members of the LGBT community.
Embed supplier diversity deeply into all procurement practices and increase awareness of the importance and benefits of maturing our supplier diversity practices across the enterprise.
How You’ll Do It
Implement top down and bottom up strategies including a communication plan to increase the use of diverse suppliers.
Provide regular reporting to management on key performance metrics including Tier 2 spend data.
Partner with Category Managers to proactively identify spend opportunities within various categories.
Optimize Supplier Diversity tools for easier usage by procurement teams and embed Supplier Diversity into broader organization practices, policies and procedures.
Champion high performing and high potential diverse suppliers across the enterprise.
Collaborate with partners in Human Resources to support organizational Diversity and Inclusion priorities and establish a supplier diversity working group.
Represent Discover at conferences, workshops and other industry events.
Lead formalized supplier innovation efforts.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Arts, Communications or related field
6+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, Sourcing, Diversity and Inclusion, Vendor Management or related field
