Supplier Diversity Program Manager, Principal Associate

We are seeking a Supplier Diversity Program Manager, Principal Associate, to join our Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) Team. As a Supplier Diversity Program Manager, Principal Associate, you will be responsible for helping to grow our company’s spend with diverse suppliers by working with ESM partners to implement strategies to include diverse owned businesses in sourcing opportunities, increase the use of current diverse suppliers within the company, and increase the amount of Tier II spend reported by non diverse suppliers. In addition, you will be responsible for the delivery of one or more supplier diversity development programs by sourcing participants, instructors and volunteers as needed and effectively managing the day to day responsibilities of the programs as well as implementing continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities of the Supplier Diversity Program Manager, Principal Associate role include:

  • Source Diverse Suppliers: Build relationships and work closely with ESM sourcing and supplier managers to deliver on Supplier Diversity’s commitment to “know, protect and grow'' spend with diverse suppliers. Be fully engaged with category teams and be aware of diverse supplier performance issues and contract expirations to help protect diverse spend.

  • Build Relationships: Know existing diverse suppliers to build a working relationship with them and inquire and learn about their full capabilities in order to find opportunities to grow their services within the company. Attend industry events and network with supplier diversity peers and certification groups to explore and uncover ways to grow our spend with diverse vendors. 

  • Grow and Protect Diverse Spend: Work closely with supplier managers, financial analysts and others within ESM to develop and implement strategies to know and grow Tier II spend. Attend industry events and network with supplier diversity peers to explore and uncover ways to grow our spend with diverse vendors. 

  • Improve processes: Influence sourcing, supplier managers, and operations to embed supplier diversity into ESM processes, for example pipelines, Accountable Executive meetings, Category Strategy reviews and documentations. 

  • Drive innovation: Devise and implement innovation in our reporting systems and work closely with technology teams to create and deliver actionable reporting of Tier I and Tier II spend to stakeholders across the company.

  • Development Program Delivery: Responsible for delivery of one or more supplier diversity development programs by sourcing diverse owned businesses, instructors and volunteers using a variety of channels and partners and effectively managing the day to day responsibilities of the programs as well as implementing continuous improvement.  

  • Program Documentation: With support of supplier diversity coordinator, effectively manage, coordinate and document the activities of the development programs.

  • Communications: Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills to assist in increasing visibility of the program as well as to effectively interact and communicate with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the broader ESM team, and stakeholders on projects such as Supplier Diversity Summit and supporting the Supplier Diversity Ambassador program.

  • Travel: Job may require 15-20% travel.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • At least 3 year of experience in Project Management or Program Management role

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • At least 4 years of experience in Process Management or Operations Management
