Summary:

Candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in managing a range of business projects business with superior organizational leadership and influencing skills across many different business functions. This candidate effectively develops and manage multiple programs of work involving strategic analysis and roadmap development, creating cross-functional solutions, communicating to various stakeholders, and implementing business change management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement


Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  • Project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Procurement and Contract Manufacturing desired but not required
  • Results driven, innovative & creative
  • Aligns and energizes behind common objectives, action-oriented & willing to face challenging situations
  • The ability to formulate and articulate a strategy and business case and build a tactical path
  • Comfort/familiarity with constructing presentations, organization communications, and business Cases
  • Outstanding skills and proven track record of delivering results through collaboration with other functions including to ensure that cross-functional objectives are achieved
  • Ability to manage and balance multiple priorities and projects and execute against planned schedules


Travel Required: 0-25%

Functional Description

Performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery. Oversees multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

Functional/Business Knowledge

  • Provides expertise and advice to guide the activities of a project. Generally has an advanced level of expertise and is capable of working on any project that would typically arise in the function. Viewed as expert in the field within the Major Function.
  • Provides insight in the development of functional objectives utilizing broad expertise and knowledge.


Scope

  • Works independently on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
  • May develop new approaches and applications of programs or systems to lead processes in new direction.


Judgement

  • Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Demonstrates independent decision making and use of good judgment.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
  • May oversee the activities of others.


Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.
