Job Description - People Development Program Manager
As a Sr. People Development (PD) Program Manager at Micron Technology, Inc. you are responsible for collaborating with and leading stakeholder teams to develop and oversee strategy and manage program-level governance and operations. You are responsible for managing and maintaining programs consisting of multiple learning-oriented activities and outcomes aligned to the People Development strategy and achieving company people-oriented goals and objectives. You will assure the design and tracking of programs to achieve intended results and outcomes critical to company success. You are expected to collaborate across People Development workstreams, Global Business People Partners, Business Leaders, and other critical stakeholders to obtain input, alignment, and resource support for PD programs. Additional key functions of the Sr. PD Program Manager are to work with PD Change Management & Communications team to provide strategic, promotional communications to the business, to analyze program metrics for improvement opportunities, and to identify and proactively manage program risk and gaps.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Govern People Development Programs

  • Serve as Program expert and manager responding to inquiries and concerns
  • Influence and recommend program direction and philosophy
  • Collaborate with PD Leadership to define program scope and sponsorship for program modifications
  • Propose, implement, and communicate program metrics, targets, and measures
  • Partner with PD Change Management & Comms team to promote PD programs
  • Monitor program in accordance to established rules and standards; provide guidance to close gaps


Develop, Implement, and Maintain Programs and Supporting Systems

  • Identify and manage process and systematic program dependencies according to PD requirements and established priorities
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Serve as top tier point of contact for program issues and modification requests partnering with appropriate resources
  • Ensure solution delivery is in place to meet requirements
  • Coordinate systems administration
  • Identify potential crises; develop and execute resolution plans
  • Analyze global reporting for the purpose of continuous improvement and results
  • -Benchmark program solutions and systems
  • Assess program health for the purpose of continuous improvement


Manage People Development Program Training, Materials, and Resources

  • Accountable for the creation, periodic review, and maintenance of People Development documentation
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of Global program content and materials according to branding standards
  • Accountable for the development and delivery of Global program training to meet the needs of all levels of users and facilitation support
  • Create and maintain materials repository/program sites
  • Manage and Develop People Development Program Teams and Stakeholders
  • Identify Program stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Work with PD Leadership to assemble project support teams based on need
  • Identify and resolve team issues and conflicts
  • Communicate program expectations to project support teams and stakeholders
  • Prepare, develop, and partner with regional PD program stewards
  • Maintain program support through interaction with PD leadership and other PD Program Managers


Your Background:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Program Management.
  • Adaptable and strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) at all levels (Individual Contributor to Executive), inclusive of presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with people at all levels, across multiple functions and in all geographies
  • Courage to take on difficult goals and bounce back from adversity in the face of challenges
  • Not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the role - no job too big or too small
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects to ensure on-time delivery and quality using both internal and external resources
  • Strong facilitation skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Robust experience in HR/Learning & Development with an in-depth knowledge of core learning & development practices
  • Problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills. The ideal candidate will be well organized and confident to work independently but will be a strong team player
  • The ability to work independently, take on responsibility, and be nimble in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment
  • Strong writing skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
