The Operations Strategy team in the Advanced and Strategic Operations organization, works directly with Division & Functional Leadership to shape our long-term strategies to position Operations for the future. We are seeking a Project Manager to collaborate across Operations Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership to develop and execute strategic facility projects that will increase the competitiveness of the organization. This position requires an experienced and cross-functional leader, comfortable executing in ambiguous situations, and able to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Primary Job Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
  • Provide project management for highly visible strategic sector facility projects
    • Determination of project requirements and scope of work
    • Coordinate across internal functional orgs to develop change management plans and oversee transition execution
    • Assist in business case development and supporting cost models
    • Work with facilities and suppliers as necessary to determine design costs for facilities projects based on allocated budget and scope of work
    • Collaborate with industrial/facilities engineers and process SMEs to ensure effective design of facilities
    • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and communicate status
    • Develop and coordinate the project Risk, Issue & Opportunity Management activities, including evaluation and implementation of risk and opportunity handling approaches
    • Delivering presentations to executive management and other project stakeholders
    • Managing suppliers to meet program objectives and build relationships to develop further opportunities within the supplier community
    • Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
    • Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
  • Represent Ops Mfg and Facility Planning on the NGMS Make/Buy team to ensure facility capabilities and strategies are considered in the selection of key technologies in the Make/Buy governance model and approach

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant work experience or 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree
  • Related experience, which may include program management/ project scheduling, working experience in a manufacturing, production, facilities or engineering role
  • Project / Program Management skills (proposal creation, scheduling, budget tracking)
  • Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently in meeting customer requirements/expectations
  • Strong proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering, or Mathematical) discipline or Business Administration
  • Sufficient knowledge of company project management standards, policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Auto Cad software experience
  • Experience with data mining, data analysis and data visualization software applications
  • Is a natural relationship builder able to earn the trust of colleagues and suppliers
  • Proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organization
  • Experience with CBA/ROI analysis and justifications
  • Prior experience managing a major supplier

Salary Range: $99,200.00 - $148,800.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to basepay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO)for vacation and/orpersonal business.
