Job Description
We are seeking a manager to grow and lead data scale team. Data scale team is a team within platform persistence group who is responsible for the providing storage layer API for ServiceNow platform. Data scale team specifically focus on database driver, JDBC connection pooling, distribute large query loads and large data volume to multiple databases to support our customers as they continue to grow their business with ServiceNow platform.

- Work and collaborate with other teams in ServiceNow platform
- Work with our QE team and our largest customers to continue scaling up their deployments
- Use critical thinking to characterize performance and scalability bottleneck of ServiceNow platform and work with the team to develop solution
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- 10+ years of software industry experience, 2+ years as a manager managing software developers on development projects
- Experience working on platform backend
- Passion for performance, scalability and reliability
- Solid understanding of software design, development, testing, and deployment
- Solid understanding of JVM internals
- Solid understanding of database internals
- Demonstrated success on completing complex projects
- Experience on building a productive team
