A Little About Us:
The Y!Eng Business Operations and Strategy Team partners across Yahoo Engineering leaders to build scalable operations aligned with strategic priorities, clear portfolio governance, ownership, and decision making, as well as develop business insights and drive employee engagement. We need delivery minded-leaders like you to shape how Yahoo Engineering evolves its operational processes, with a bias towards action.
You will have flexibility to work from various locations, such as your home office or Yahoo! offices where available.
A Lot About You:
As a Sr. Manager, Project/Program Management, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Chief of Staff to lead the definition, execution, and deployment of initiatives to drive accountability, strategic communications, and employee engagement for Yahoo Engineering and support Chief of Staff activities. You'll make an impact by driving priorities aligned to engineering organizational goals, communicating, and influencing various stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities :

  • Build and implement governance, clear roles and responsibilities and decision making, and cross-organizational alignment on key strategic initiatives.
  • Design, drive, and continuously improve the Engineering OKR process and assist in strategic business planning activities.
  • Prepare materials and drive internal events including All Hands, Offsites, staff meetings, and other internal events, including follow through, action tracking, and related communications.
  • Develop and maintain strategic communications and engagement plan across the engineering organization.
  • Advance cross-team strategy on key initiatives, influencing and collaborating with stakeholders across the company to address opportunities and solve challenges.
  • Supports development of presentations for the board and executive leadership related to strategic projects, initiatives, and overall business outlook.
  • Team Lead for the Yahoo Engineering Engagement Team managing priorities, team performance and coaching and removing blockers.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations or related field
  • 7+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience of designing, building, and executing highly successful programs at scale.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and executives.
  • Strong oral and written communication, organization, and people skills.
  • PMP certification (nice to have)
