Role:

As a Sr. Manager, PMO, you will play a central role in overseeing global, cross brand strategic Programs with a key focus on our Point of Sale rollout.  Reporting to the VP, Program Management Office, this role is looking for a dynamic, organized, collaborative individual with responsibility for hands on PMO/project work as well and program level governance and oversight.  An Ideal candidate will have strong relationship management, communication, project management and business analysis skills.   This role supports program delivery resources in the RBI brands and oversees deployment, risk management and mitigation, Program documentation and analytics. Working with senior internal and external stakeholders, this role will track and communicate progress against key metrics, determining appropriate steps to ensure continued progress. This role combines governance with some cross functional execution streams.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all workstreams in single portfolio and ensure dependencies are understood and planned for
  • From time to time manage cross functional program work streams
  • Lead project teams through scoping definition and ensure all execution efforts align to program goals
  • Define standards for all projects & maintain high quality outputs throughout the project lifecycle
  • Recommend corrective actions if the project is not meeting scope, budget, and scheduled milestones
  • Escalate any prioritization needs/decisions as needed
  • Conduct periodic stakeholder meetings to ensure status clarity and clear expectations
  • Tracking & Reporting - Manage consistent metrics for measuring and reporting for all projects. Oversee the central project portfolio roster which includes key relevant metrics. Responsible for the Project Portfolio Scorecards.
  • Support the Project Delivery Approach across the organization working closely with executives
  • Ensure standardized and relevant document templates are available from a central repository
  • Encourage knowledge transfer and lessons learnt activities within the PMO and business project teams to drive best practice.
  • Ensure a Risk Management Program exists and is being followed. Error Check/Oversight risk identification and mitigation plans from projects.  Assess risk mgmt. within projects for accuracy/completeness and cross functional implications. 
  • Make pro-active recommendations throughout on project approach, redirection if needed, timing priorities and deliverables.
  • “Look ahead of the curve mentality” and strategic thinking that accounts for potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide for documentation, guidance and metrics on the program/project
  • Ensure a standard is met for work plan/tracking and that the project is meeting the standard
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of portfolio? management dashboards and executive summaries
  • Coordination of Project meetings for work streams assigned to lead.
  • Creating and monitoring project logs to ensure timely communication, follow up and updates for actions, issues, risks, decisions for the project.
  • Produce Project presentations suitable for an Executive audience.
  • Contributes to the flow of communication within the team, by actively participating in team meetings

Role Requirements:

  • 8+ years Project Management experience
  • 8+ years professional work experience (QSR and Retail experience preferred)
  • Previous experience in the areas of Point of Sale implementation, Mobile App. Deployment, Payment, Content Management etc. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation & influencing skills
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Customer service focus and empathy for 24x7 business cycle
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to assemble and clearly communicate technical information to all levels of the organization
  • A methodical and process-oriented approach with a laser-focus on KPIs
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, often changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities successfully
  • Ability to understand and manage complex technology solutions
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused with a strong attention to detail.
  • Desire and ability to build strong, cohesive relationships at all levels of the organization – up, down, and across
  • Self-driven leader who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or business with related experience
  • Must be able to travel 15-25% of the time
