Job Description
This role is remote, with one required visit to your designated home office per quarter.
Remote option is available for employees located in the following states; AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, MN, MT, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TX, TN, WA, WV, and Washington D.C. (States subject to change at any time)
With William Hill now a part of Caesars Entertainment, we plan to lead the pack by delivering products our customers love to use! As Caesars/William Hill, we operate sports betting in 18 U.S. jurisdictions and have partnerships with the biggest leagues and media companies in the country including, the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, ESPN, and CBS Sports. Marking a major milestone in American sports history, we opened the first-ever sports betting venue within a professional United States sports facility, the William Hill Sportsbook at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. Partnerships like this are positioning our business to skyrocket as sports betting continues to expand across the country and our customers get a taste of the action.
On the Technology side, we've built an entire sports betting and iGaming platform from the ground up in less than 3 years. Through continuous improvement and data-informed product development, we are adding features so that our customers have the best product experience in the market. Our Product Technology team is comprised of the brightest minds in Tech, and our culture of autonomy and decisiveness gives the team the freedom to deliver without constantly seeking permission to take action. We chart our own path and innovate as we create the next generation of products. We're looking for like-minded superstars that want to work with the best of the best and join the biggest name in sports betting and iGaming as we take over the U.S. market!
The purpose of the role is to work with the Product Development and Software teams for delivering projects of varying size and complexity by organizing and managing project activities. Guide and mentor team(s) on how to get the most out of self-organization. Remove impediments/blockers or guide the team to remove impediments. Always Deliver optimal team performance in line with benchmarking, agreed metrics/KPIs and associated scorecards.
What You Will Do:
  • Guide and mentor teams on how to successfully be agile
  • Remove impediments/blockers or guide the team to remove them
  • Facilitate teams' Scrum ceremonies
  • Review the teams' burndown chart and improve upon it
  • Call out scope creep and work with the team and the Product Owner to handle it appropriately
  • Follow up on and implement (or help to implement) any retrospective action items
  • Guide the team through effective and fun retrospective activities
  • Guide the team toward a stable velocity and make sure they stick to it
  • Develop and manage the teams' Definition of Done, Entrance Criteria, and Working Agreements. Hold team accountable for following them
  • Help drive the organization toward a more healthy and effective agile process

What You Will Need:
  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • CSM certification
  • Deep knowledge of Jira
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Paired Programming, Automated Testing, etc.
  • Experience with tracking agile KPI's and improving upon them
  • General understanding of LeSS principals and how they differ from One Team Scrum
  • Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.
  • Creation, maintenance and control of project documentation
  • Prepare project organization and communication charts
  • Track the progress and quality of work being performed
  • Keep the project team, stakeholders, and others informed about project status and issues that may impact successful project completion.
  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for an Agile software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues from all disciplines. Drive delivery of your products and features
