Microsoft's hardware teams incubate advanced technologies and build deep partnerships with internal research, product planning, and marketing teams. Microsoft ships tens of millions of hardware products every year, including Azure, Xbox, Surface devices, HoloLens, accessories, and much more. The HW Lab Management Team is growing at a fast pace to support many groups that are working on various exciting products. The HW Lab Technical Program Manager is key in maintaining the effectiveness of the labs to support the success of all HW programs.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end lab support in collaboration with engineering sites across multiple locations
  • Drive communications with engineering, management, finance, and other support teams
  • Manage work scope, schedule/risks, budget, vendors/suppliers
  • Collaborate with other organizations for lab alignment and lab resources sharing
  • Coordinate lab activities such as lab builds, procurement, inventory, safety, security, audits, etc.
  • Ensure proper and adequate lab documentation

QualificationsRequired:

  • BSEE with 4+ years with experience in program management and Strong track record of leadership skills and experience working with diverse teams.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience and understand/implement processes to provide innovative test solutions

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of strong technical skills to drive support of SoC HW lab bring-up and validation
  • Familiarity with HW labs-test equipment, lab procedures, procurement process, inventory mgmt., etc.
  • Team player with good communication skills and a growth mind set
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and presentation skills
  • MS Office skills: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
