Job DescriptionCredit Technology modernizes the Nordstrom Credit customer experience, supporting the platforms and data necessary to acquire and service credit customers across web, text, phone, and in-store channels, as well as mitigate collections and fraud. We are recruiting a Senior Technical Program Manager to support our Data Analytics team. Qualified candidates must be able to help foster an inspiring workplace where talented people feel empowered to drive operational excellence, mature compliance practices, and business results. The Senior Technical Program Manager would work with Credit’s Data Systems and Support team to enable data-driven decisioning across the organization on a day-today basis.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager on our team, you will work closely with our Product, Engineering Managers, and Compliance and Security teams to help define your team’s roadmap and plans for delivery of innovative and high-quality features. You will partner with other teams across Technology to solve complex technology problems and set the standard for continuous improvement.

A day in the life.. 

Demonstrate customer focus, being mindful of Key Performance Indicators 

Manage programs of high impact, risk, complexity while building and executing integrated plans across multiple teams 

Present demos, status updates and risk/mitigation strategies and communicate down the pyramid through SVP level 

Apply experience as well as technical, functional, and regulatory expertise to define the technical components of a multi-year capability roadmap 

Successfully manage resource planning and a large team budget, accurately forecasting 6 months ahead and explaining variances 

Possess strong level knowledge of technology (e.g. Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, open source, database technologies, etc.) 

Use engineering lifecycle knowledge and prior experience to drive improvements 

Handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment 

Anticipate and remove blockers that are impeding the team’s success 

Ensure application/system health, striving for minimal defects and downtime 

You own this if you have… 

5+ years of experience delivering complex software solutions as a Technical Program Manager 

Technology background, especially in a cloud-based architecture with a deep understanding of software development, passion for data and analytics

Experience with a regulatory program such as SOX, PCI, SOC1, SOC2, SOC3, HIPAA

Prior experience in Credit/Payments, eCommerce and/or Retail 

Proven track record of leading large cross-team software projects 

Experience managing stakeholder relationships 

Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience

Salary Band for Colorado Only - 123,300.00 - 184,900.00
