L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking an Senior Specials, Project Management Operations to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.
Position Overview:
The Repair Operations Project Manager (ROPM) oversees all Operations efforts relating to contract execution and is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring repair projects from beginning to end, according to strict deadlines and budgets. The OPM acts as the point-of-contact between elements of Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Program Management. They ensure cost and schedule conformance on assigned projects by coordinating the test and evaluation, repair, and test sell off of complex electronic systems. Essential Functions:
- Coordinate with Area Schedulers and Production Planners to develop repair and maintenance plans
- Perform lead-time and critical path analysis on multi-level hardware builds
- Assess cost and schedule risks and develop associated mitigations
- Estimate sales forecasts for labor and material
- Monitor and report financial, schedule and technical performance of assigned projects
- Identify and coordinate resources necessary for repair efforts
- Oversee repair budgets with the responsibility to analyze, manage and report on budget performance and variance analysis
- Interface and communicate with all levels of the organization
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience in a manufacturing, production or highly schedule-based environment or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience in a manufacturing, production or highly schedule-based environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability in financial or data analysis and monitoring is desired
- Demonstrated ability in business and/or technical writing, public speaking, and creating formal presentations is desired
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and demonstrate ability to analyze data using graphs and pivot tables
- Experience using schedule management tools such as Microsoft Project is preferred
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems is preferred
- Due to the nature of the work, this position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
- This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work
