Misfits Market is a mission-driven company offering a more sustainable alternative to the traditional grocery store model. We’re a high-growth startup hyper-focused on making fresh, organic food more affordable for more people. Since 2018, we’ve rescued more than 80 million pounds of food and made it accessible to millions of subscribers across the country. Fixing a broken food system isn’t easy. It requires passionate and motivated problem-solvers ready to chart the course towards a future where food waste and exorbitant food costs don’t exist.

CRM and Retention are a crucial part of Misfits Markets success. As part of the Growth team, our role is to continuously support the sustainable and continuous growth of the company by optimizing customer experience, recognizing priority areas of improvement,  and supporting the expansion of the company into new channels, regions and audiences. We believe not only in listening and responding to customer signals, but also that our members' relationship to our brand is largely informed by our email, direct mail, mobile social and otherwise digital presence. This role will be instrumental in helping shape, evolve and analyze these points of contact.

Misfits is looking for a driven, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior CRM Specialist to work collaboratively with various teams across the organization, including Growth, Marketing,  Product and more. You should be able to maintain a critical eye, come up with creative solutions to complex problems and be willing to build projects from the ground up.

As a member of the Growth & Analytics team, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our points of contact with our customers, both active + prospective. You’ll help build out our CRM infrastructure,  work across multiple channels and touch points, and continuously evolve our comms to match our business and customer needs. You’ll become a thought leader, and an integral part of a company that is reinventing the grocery store experience!

You will:

  • Support daily, weekly and ad-hoc core CRM projects by managing workflows + processes across teams.
  • Own, test and optimize projects across entire marketing funnel including lead activation, surveys, newsletter, seasonal campaigns, churn prevention, win back and more.
  • Manage end-to-end processes from ideation to execution to analysis by collaborating cross-functionally with teams across the organization.
  • Develop detailed creative briefs for new asset and copy requests, own timelines and processes for scope projects.
  • Contribute to optimization efforts by implementing, maintaining and reporting on an A/B Testing Learning Agenda.
  • Act as primary QA for all outbound comms, both on backend (audiences, triggers, logic, automations/workflow set) and frontend with special focus paid to accessibility, readability, deliverability and device optimization.
  • Oversee incremental lift across pre-determined KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Data team to create relevant dashboards, review + contribute to regular CRM Reporting and develop actionable insights grounded in analytics.
  • Partner with CRM + Retention manager on customer insights and develop detailed segmentation that target audiences on the right channel at the right time with comms personalized to their preferences, behavior, custom profile attributes and lifecycle.
  • Ad-hoc projects and support as needed.

You are:

  • 2+ years experience in a CRM, Retention Marketing, or similar role.
  • An SME/Power-user of CRM Platforms + ESPs (eg. Iterable, Braze, Klayivo or Salesforce).
  • Must have mid-to-high level of HTML, CSS and Conditional Logic experience and some familiarity with SQL.
  • Some experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g. Mode, Tableau, Looker, Omniture) preferred
  • Able to work well under tight deadlines and a rapidly changing high-growth environment while still maintaining an attention to detail.
  • Excited to work cross-functionally with different teams, including product, data science, merchandising, creative, operations, customer service and more.
  • Comfortable in the fast-paced nature of a start-up environment, able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Data-driven with proven ability to increase user engagement and incremental conversion, retention and growth by leveraging CRM capabilities.
  • Dedicated to becoming an industry-leader in the field of CRM and Marketing by staying ahead of trends, initiatives, opportunities, tools etc.
  • Clear communicator and strong collaborator with a fierce attention to detail
  • Passionate about the mission to address food waste and insecurity in the US.

Benefits:

  • Monthly credits to Misfits Market

  • Life Insurance
  • 401k plan
  • Commuter benefits
