WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Senior Scrum Master with the ability to oversee agile maturity within the teams, drive deliverables to completion, as well as help build a culture of collaboration where every voice is heard. This individual will be skilled at mentoring and coaching their team and collaborating with other scrum masters to build deeper agile skills. This role will be key in igniting Nike's move towards its Consumer Direct Acceleration strategy.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work with the Engineering, Product and Design teams across the Global Technology organization. You'll play a critical role in providing underlying agile skills for our teams. Within the squads, you will be helping to build critical capabilities across functions at Nike. You will also work with the broader scrum master team to drive Scrum and Agile maturity that includes a cross squad coordination and also align to agile standard methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate as a team-based servant leader in service to the team's needs.

- Ensure the teams is practicing Agile principles.

- Partner with, coaches, and supports Technical Product Manager in leading the backlog to ensure it is properly prioritized and appropriately sized.

- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (backlog refinement, Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos).

- Help prepare the team for and facilitate squad level Quarterly Planning activities.

- Established, track and communicate agile metrics (such as team velocity and sprint progress/burn down chart)

- Facilitate alignment and assist Technical Product Manager and Agile Team with meeting appropriate commitments.

- Protect the team from interruptions and distractions to clear a path for efficiency

- Identify, remove and/or escalate risks, roadblocks, and cross team dependencies that are unresolvable by the team and interfere with the team's ability to deliver commitments.

- Accountable for promoting continuous improvement by coaching the team to use metrics to identify and measure progress.

- Interact with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization and cross-squad/cross-functional collaboration on delivery execution.

- Continuously learn innovative approaches to facilitation, agile standard methodologies and how to improve team dynamics.

- Help the Team to focus on delivery of high quality stories on a predictable, sustainable cadence.

WHAT YOU BRING
Some combination of these qualifications and technical skills will position you well for this role:

- MS/BS degree in IT or related field

- 5+ years relevant work experience i.e. on Agile

- Experience working with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools (eg. Jira, VersionOne)

- Familiarity or experience with other agile methodologies such as LEAN, Kanban, SAFe, XP Programming etc

- In-depth understanding of Agile Principles and how they apply in workplace culture

- Strong facilitation and mentor skills within teams and groups

- Experience resolving issues across teams

- Effective communication, team dynamics, conflict resolution, mentoring, and servant leadership skills

- Relevant certification in the scrum/agile field is preferred. Examples: Professional Scrum Master (PSM I), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
