DESCRIPTION
Slync.io is looking for a Senior Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience to join our quickly growing team! This position will not be location-specific and can be performed remotely. The Scrum Master will provide oversight of the Agile framework to ensure operational excellence in product deliveries. Provides guidance and helps educate the team in Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Kanban, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), ensuring that the Agile process is being followed. Helps remove impediments and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach and mentor the Agile methodology and SAFe framework used by the Scrum teams
- Identify, escalate, and remove impediments
- Facilitate efficient Scrum ceremonies
- Work closely with the Product Owners, Engineering Team Members, and Engineering management to define, deploy, and optimize our Scrum processes
- Track and communicate Agile metrics
- Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency. Help identify and mitigate external dependencies and risk
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-time scrum master in a SAAS software development organization
- Thorough understanding of all Agile principles and frameworks and capacity to understand specific needs to apply
- Experience being on multiple distributed Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts and team sizes in a large cross-functional organization
- Ability to work in ambiguity and iterate on a solution without explicit direction
- Willingness to continuously evolve and improve the full software development life cycle through deployment
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must have experience in communicating with various levels of leaderships
- Experience using tools that support agile development such as JIRA and Confluence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Preference will be given to candidates with Enterprise SaaS experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or SAFe certification
- Preference will be given to candidates with traditional project management skills: managing budget, scheduling, estimating, etc.
