Position Objectives:
The main purpose the Senior Scrum Master is to ensure that the team is actively following the guidelines of Scrum and Agile. Achieve business objectives by managing all agile activities of 2-4 moderate to high complexity Information Technology products/efforts/delivery teams or equivalent. Orchestrate and participate in business analysis and organizational change management across Scrum teams and organizational groups, support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog and prioritization. Understand and adhere to IT and corporate governance processes.
Nature and Scope:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple concurrent high-complexity products/efforts/delivery teams which provide solutions to a wide range of complex products/solutions in multi-discipline business areas.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure that scaled teams are delivering the highest value for feature level/product increments
  • Efforts may typically include coordinating, integrating and working with project/waterfall teams.
  • Excellent influencing skills are leveraged, combined with the ability to execute.
  • May require moderate travel to overcome geographic, technical and cultural barriers.
  • Incumbent exercises superior judgment in accordance with department policies, practices, procedures, and techniques.
  • The incumbent will spend lead the program and project's activities with minimal direction or supervision.
  • Prepare, present and review delivered features and capabilities regularly with product owners and stakeholders.
  • Identify, escalate, and assist in resolution of resource constraints, conflicts, and impediments
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to meet program and project deliverables and benefit case
  • Ensure product/solution alignment with enterprise standards and processes
  • Create an appropriate support model that addresses the support need of the product/solution
  • Work with Coaches to help develop and continuously improve enterprise processes.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5+ years of experience working in an Agile environment as a Scrum Master
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible job-related experience
  • Experience in all facets of the software development life cycle (requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, release cycle, support)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a highly collaborative fashion
