If you are located in Schaumburg, IL or Irvine, CA, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform as a Scrum Master for one or more agile teams
  • Establish team level cadence and drive team level scrum ceremonies in line with program level cadences established
  • Provider leadership, direction, and coaching to the team to encourage adoption of good agile practices
  • Be a change agent and foster a 'learn by doing' culture
  • Encourage and facilitate cross-team coordination and collaboration
  • Remove impediments for the team(s) and escalate as appropriate
  • Facilitate management of the scrum team's dependencies between the program team and third parties, release managers, or other scrum teams
  • Work cross functionally to align strategy, methodology, and execution
  • Maintain metrics and reports that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality
  • Track and manage project execution in accordance with company's delivery and financial management practices

  • System Thinker: Analyze the entire software development environment and operating culture and bring practical solutions to improve and navigate both
  • Team-oriented: Be a team player who protects the scrum team

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Coach
  • 3+ years of experience working on multiple, large scale initiatives leading scrum teams
  • 1+ years of experience leading agile/scrum adoption at the team level
  • 1+ years of experience with Agile Management tools (e.g. Rally, JIRA, etc)
  • 1+ years of understanding of the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
  • 1+ years of understanding of fundamentals of DevOps, Continuous Delivery & Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD)
  • 1+ years of understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
  • 1+ years of understanding of incremental delivery and the value of metrics


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Lean Methodology, and/or Project Management
  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience practically implementing or executing within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Experience with DevOps (Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Service Oriented Architecture)
  • Ability to lead and influence large matrix teams both on and off-shore
  • Successful in obtaining results in a large corporate, heavily matrixed environment
  • Participation in Agile communities of practice within the industry
