We are seeking an Information Systems Senior Project Manager located in Richmond, VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Managing and leading all aspects of large complex IT projects in a regulated environment to improve efficiencies, reduce risk, and provide competitive advantage. Responsibilities include:

- Directly communicate with business users and collaborators to gather business and functional requirements for systems and solutions to be implemented

- Ability to communicate effectively and facilitate meetings with core solution teams, vendors and other 3rd party stakeholders throughout the duration of projects

- Complete SDLC documentation for computer system implementation projects

- Use Agile principles and methodologies to govern the delivery approach for your projects.

- Handle Vendor relationships and lead teams that may include multiple contractors from different companies.

- Professionally prepare presentations for stakeholders which may include project board presentations, roadmaps, and status updates.

- Deliver training and mentorship to new project managers and project managers that have less experience in delivering projects according to FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

- Work closely with the support team to transition projects into support at the close of projects.

WE WANT YOU TO HAVE:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (IS), Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Management Information Systems, (MIS) or related field from an accredited college or university preferred

- Master of Science in Information Technology (IT), Management Information Systems, (MIS), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Technology Management, or equivalent preferred

- Project Management Professional or Scrum Master Certification preferred

- 5+ years of experience leading large complex IT projects

- 5+ years of experience in a regulated environment requiring 21 CFR Part 11 compliance preferred

- 10 years of demonstrated ability developing, supporting, or implementing IT solutions

- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

- Solid understanding of information security as it applies to system development

- Critical thinking and managing to superior level of results. The ability to effectively analyze, review, diagnose and quality check results

- Maintain relationships and work multi-functionally to meet business objectives

- Plan, coordinate, supervise, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources, to achieve project objectives.

- Understand and apply the Project Management Methodology.

- Internalize the SDLC and use this knowledge to get results in a project environment.

- Elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps for managing user stories and system validation.

- Handle changing requirements throughout the project life cycle to ensure the success of work products.

- Use a variety of specific tools and techniques for planning, estimating, resourcing and scheduling IT projects or components of IT projects.

- Understanding of the client organization and its strategies; knowledge of the organization's products, processes, and systems.

- Establish and build balanced working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors, and peers.

- Manage the utilization of external services (e.g., product or platform vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, outsourced functions).

- Knowledge of the techniques, tools and applications associated with coordination of internal resources; ability to synchronize and integrate activities, responsibilities, and command and control structures to ensure that internal resources are used most efficiently in pursuit of business objectives.

- Builds capabilities where needed.

- Successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

- Influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

- Listening techniques; ability to gather, clarify, and apply information transmitted verbally, while exhibiting a genuine interest toward the speaker.

- Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions.
