Job Description

The Georgia Water Resource Practice is a growing group within the Jacobs Buildings & Infrastructure (B&I) Line of Business organization that focuses on the following services:

  • Ecosystem Restoration and Engineering
  • Flood Modelling and Planning
  • Stormwater and Watershed Management
  • Resilience and Climate Change
  • Integrated Water Resources Management



Position Summary

Exciting opportunity to join Jacobs Engineering as a Senior Project Manager for the Georgia Water Resources Practice. This role has the ability to support and lead an experienced and diverse water resources team and to be a part of our growing water resources business in Georgia.

  • Provide project management, client relationships, team leadership, and mentoring of junior and mid-level staff.
  • Manage multi-discipline projects that include preparation of studies, permitting documents, and construction contract documents for all types and sizes of bioengineering or low-impact design projects.
  • Effectively lead projects and the project team including engineering disciplines from various company offices.
  • Lead and assist with business development and marketing efforts to help grow the business with both existing and new clients in GA.
  • Must have the ability to participate in and lead proposal efforts.
  • Completes within 12 months of hire the Jacobs's Project Management Certification program.



Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience of water resources projects is required.
  • Bachelors of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences required; Masters of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as PE license, PWS, or CPESC is preferred.
  • Project management, staff management, and business development experience is required.
  • Will need to demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects is required.
  • Recent experience working with clients in the GA market is preferred.
