Job Description As a Senior member of our Project Execution team, you'll draw on your strengths managing resources and processes to shepard technology projects and Programs that typically span multiple lines of business and could have firm-wide implications. The role requires the ability to manage multiple parallel tracks of related and unrelated bodies of work simultaneously while delivering consistent results.
You'll lead these projects and programs from initiation through implementation, including establishing requirements, priorities, and deadlines; ensuring that relevant risk and architecture requirements are in place; and managing the project/program budget and resources. In addition to collaborating with your teammates, you'll communicate with stakeholders across the firm to work toward the best possible outcomes. While this role is rooted in project/program management discipline, it's a terrific opportunity to develop your leadership skills and make lasting connections throughout JPMorgan Chase & Co.

  • Manage one or more fast-paced, complex, cross-functional programs or projects that have significant impact on the business
  • Develop and execute overall plan to achieve project/program's goals
  • Integrate and coordinate plans across the multiple business and IT work streams
  • Ensure solutions (business and technology) conform to user requirements and client's objectives
  • Serves as liaison between the business and technical aspects of project
  • Ensure projects/programs are completed according to time & budget schedules
  • Identify, develop & execute plans to address issues and risks across the project
  • Maintain complete oversight of all work streams along with dependencies/cross dependencies across applications teams and across Product Domains
  • Monitor & report progress across the project, including integration from all tracks of work into overall project reporting
  • Enables a holistic view of how a project impacts all work streams and assigned resources.
  • Direct activities of project team to ensure quality and timeliness of project completion
  • Establish execution "roadmap" and define work in collaboration with Business & IT to achieve the Project's mission and vision
  • Consults with, and provides feedback from the leadership team as necessary to support the project
  • Manage Cross Line of Business initiatives and co-ordinate with multiple groups from other lines of business as needed
  • Be a part of the solution - lead your customers to achieve the best business value possible
  • Help us to improve - Establish best practices, innovate approaches to Program and Project Management, building a continuous improvement model
  • Maintain our control environment by ensuring programs and projects are completed in accordance with all Risk, Control and other relevant firmwide guidelines


This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Ability to manage multiple parallel tracks of related and unrelated bodies of work simultaneously
  • Ability to recognize organizational maturity and effectively assess resourcing, program structure, and project planning
  • Ability to understand project metrics, critical path, deliverables, processes, and effectively challenge team members, job families, etc. to ensure correct steps are taken for successful delivery
  • Willingness/Courage to make decisions in appropriate situations when no other leadership is clear; willing to make unpopular decisions
  • Ability to assess project and recommend best value approach/challenge appropriately
  • Message to the business on scope decisions, negotiate trade-off discussions as appropriate
  • Consistently demonstrate sound judgment in knowing when/what to escalate and to whom
  • Anticipate/Identify and remediates risks before they become issues.
  • Understands amount of preparedness/achieves necessary SME level to conduct meaningful discussions with Leadership Team
  • Anticipates items that could require senior level communication and provides effective advance notice to ensure surprises avoided
  • Ability to facilitate sessions and deliver to large audiences that may include MD Level stakeholders
  • Ability to work with unknown. Defines, discovers, documents, or standardizes processes as appropriate. May involve defining oneself or assessing how/who can define and following through to completion.
  • Ability to identify gaps in direction and ownership. Takes into consideration IT and Business needs to ensure that roles and responsibilities are clear and agreed upon.
  • Knowledge of global and line of business project management standards and methods
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Leverages existing relationships and builds new ones to deepen or expand agility
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • PMP Certification desired
  • Agile Certifications desired
