Senior Project Manager - Sales Support
This position will assist sales staff in various capacities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This includes activities related to customer reporting, project management, various application support and requests. Functional knowledge of proper sales functions is critical for the success of this position. Adherence to deadlines and multi-tasking are key attributes for this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Involved with Sustainability and ESG effort at Werner which requires management of a variety of different projects and initiatives; team leadership; and strong research and collaboration skills
- Industry Research: actively research what is happening in our research for on-demand and as-needed support for customer meetings and executive speaking engagements. Work with Chief Commercial officer to help with weekly team reports and a variety of different information documents that this person builds and owns
- Strong capabilities of developing PowerPoint presentations and a key creator of company and sales templates; industry updates; website updates; Quarterly team meetings and other presentations
- Provide help in coordinating big events like our Transportation Forum and our Global Sales meeting
- Supervise summer interns and help create and manage projects during the summer
- Involvement in company strategic initiatives
- Actively work across the company with on-demand/as needed support with a variety of different departments and levels within the Company
