Senior Project Manager - Billing

This position will provide project management expertise to GRAIL’s Billing and Finance teams, ensuring all, project landmarks and results are met and that activities are well completed and handled. This role will work with collaborators through Joint Project Team(s), including Billing, Finance, Compliance, Commercial, Product, Software, and Operations collaborators. Will partner with product/project management and Finance/Billing team members to optimize team efficiency and decision making, facilitate team building and communication. The candidate will be personable as the role will require interactions with teams, customers and vendors.
You will:
- Establish and maintain functionally coordinated project timeline and other tracking tools to enable accurate project management across functional areas
- Schedule, coordinate, and drive team meeting(s): prepare and distribute agendas/minutes; supervise action items, and call out areas of concern to the management entity
- Facilitate communication of status updates, issues, and outcomes to the Finance Team leadership
- Lead the interfaces between functional areas, focused on scalable billing functions (including benefit investigations, prior authorizations, insurance claims submissions, appeals, patient and client billing), and ensure effective handoff and communication between teams to complete meaningful project landmarks.
- Handle resources, including timelines and results with other Project Team managers and functional heads.
- Serve as liaison between GRAIL and any external third party billing partners, as needed, to develop joint workflows, establish successful relationships, communicate requirements internally and externally, and shepherd key results and milestones.
Your Background Includes:
- Minimum of a BA/BS in a scientific field is required, while an advanced degree is desirable in a subject area related to device, diagnostic, and/or drug development.
- The ideal candidate will have ~10 years multi-disciplinary experience in the device/diagnostic/biotech industry, with 3-5 years of direct project management experience on interdisciplinary or cross functional product development teams focused on billing operations.
- Experience interacting with Compliance and Regulatory teams in the development of billing processes is desired.
- Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
- The ideal candidate will also be familiar with the relevant domains of laboratory operations, especially as it relates to billing activities (e.g. benefit investigations, prior authorizations, insurance claims submissions, appeals, patient and client billing).
- Previous experience working with corporate partners or acting as a liaison is required.
- Experience working under design control and in the oncology space highly desired.
