Senior Project Manager, Firm PMO
US Remote Eligible

The Firm Portfolio Management Office is an enterprise-wide function responsible for evolving the firm's capabilities for planning, project, and program management to help facilitate decision-making around and execution of the firm's portfolio of strategic work. This includes development of the processes by which strategic programs and projects are scoped, prioritized, planned, and resourced as well as leadership of execution around our largest strategic programs through a centralized program management function in partnership with division-level PMOs.

Opportunity Overview:
• Leading multiple large to complex scope projects simultaneously, with a high degree of risk, visibility and
urgency within a functional area or at times spanning multiple areas, divisions, or outside vendors.• Support the development of complex business cases for senior management while demonstrating
thought leadership and drive for results.• Providing leadership, development and mentoring to project leaders through modeling of best practices
and providing timely feedback.• Assisting or taking responsibility for troubled projects. Possesses the ability to rapidly assess the state of
the project, recommend solutions and implement those solutions to get the project back on track.• Driving and recommending improvements in project management and industry "best in class " practices
within the firm.• Driving business efforts. This role is the key business contact on the project.• Identifying major and detailed project tasks, critical path, contentions, &resources to manage the tasks
across multiple sub-projects.• Ensuring project schedule, scope and quality objectives are met by monitoring, using metrics and
controls to measure progress, taking corrective action and escalating issues when necessary. Assess
trade-offs to scope using cost / benefit analysis and make recommendations to senior leaders.• Working with other leaders and senior leadership to obtain the necessary resources to achieve project
objectives. Driving the resolution of resource issues/risks.• Planning, identifying, analyzing and resolving project issues and risks.• Determining and executing prevention and mitigation strategies, as appropriate.• Managing requirements elicitation through the use of sub-project leaders.• Scheduling & facilitating meetings, communicate progress and develop solutions to meet project goals.• Providing timely communication of relevant data to senior leadership for decision making.• Establishing and maintain effective communications and relationships across multiple areas, divisions,
outside vendors and project leaders/teams who are working on sub-projects within a project.• Leading vendor selection in a project with a large number of vendors. Managing vendor relationship
throughout the life of the project.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience. MBA or graduate degree preferred.• 5+ years of experience leading projects with a high level of complexity/integration that includes other
projects and project leaders.• Project management certification (PMP and/or Edward Jones) preferred within 1 year.• Appropriate licenses as required by the business area (Series 7 and 63, CPA, etc.).• 5+ years of industry or position-related experience. Previous experience as a department leader or
similar leadership experience preferred.• Superior interpersonal and communication skills; effectively communicates with project team, other
project leaders, multiple areas, divisions and outside vendors. Incorporates effective listening and
collaboration skills.• Ability to independently identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate, and/or resolve elements that can
impact a project.• Superior presentation skills preferred.• Superior organization and coordination skills.• Experience leading project cost / benefit reviews.• Experience with PPM tools such as Clarity, Jira, and/or Aha is required.
