About the Team
Project (Admin) Mgr: Performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery. Coordinate cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget. Survey Tip: This role has project management responsibility and no direct reports. This job manages specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end. Requires people and resource management through others; part of cross-functional team required to complete the project. Individuals with people management responsibility should be matched to Project/Program (Admin) Mgmt (3632-3636). Employees who manage product development projects should be matched to Project (Design) Mgr (5371-5376). Employees who manage product implementation for customers/clients should be matched to Project (Client Services) Mgr (5872-5876). Employees who manage internal IT-focused projects should be matched to Project (Information Systems) Mgr (6621-6625).

About the Role

The Sr. Program Manager - PMO is an ideal opportunity for an individual contributor with a comprehensive leadership toolkit & solid ability to influence, drive, & collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Workday's Revenue Operations Strategy & Planning organization. You will apply an activist & consultative portfolio administration & program management approach, experience in go-to-market processes, & communication skills as you engage stakeholders across Workday's business & operational organizations.

Portfolio Administration

  • Establish & maintain Revenue Operations Strategy & Planning portfolio governance infrastructure:
    • Consult with organization leadership to design efficient portfolio governance processes, tools & output, taking advantage of every opportunity to reduce the administrative burden of portfolio constituents through automation & streamlining
    • Build out Smartsheets roadmap of functionality and enhancements for the organization
    • Develop & maintain complex portfolio governance tools & templates using Smartsheet, Google Suite & any other available Workday-standard software
    • Document & maintain portfolio governance processes using LucidChart
    • Execute & manage portfolio governance communication strategy & output
    • Lead enablement of Smartsheet portfolio management across org functions

Program Management

  • Lead program or workstream level Revenue Operations programs that are cross-functional
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive decisions, mitigate risks, & resolve critical issues
  • Professionally manage decisions across leadership
  • Identify & manage risks associated with Revenue Operations projects
  • Use past operational, enablement, & customer experience to tackle problems, fill gaps, & achieve objectives through a cross-functional team
  • Scope business problems & processes by identifying key issues, inputs, stakeholders, & outcomes


About You

  • Trusted advisor with excellent organization & communication skills at all levels of the enterprise
  • Is comfortable interacting with senior management, highlighting risks & providing recommendations to support strategic & operational decisions
  • Solid track record of leading broad, complex, & strategic business programs combined with the ability to execute tactical activities & tasks
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing, developing & delivering processes & tools to drive proactive portfolio & program management that achieves aggressive business objectives
