As a member of the Retrofit, Modification, and Upgrade (RMU) Center of Excellence (COE) you will be responsible for driving short and long-cycle decoupled growth through robust pipeline management and Aftermarket (AM) product development and certification. The RMU COE develops and certifies Aftermarket solutions for all channels (airlines, business, and general aviation aircraft, and military customers - across all regions). The RMU Avionics and Mechanical Program Team is looking for an individual to lead high-profile RMU programs. This Senior Program Manager will have direct responsibility for driving new product hardware development and platform-level certifications, working closely with the cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers, and STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) partners. The person must be highly motivated, self-directed, and familiar with key avionics and/or mechanical systems, understand IPDS (Integrated Product Delivery and Support), STC or aircraft certification activities, and be results oriented. You will support business development activities through pipeline development for future STCs or aircraft certification as well as manage the execution of current RMU programs.

You will work under minimal supervision of the Avionics/Mechanical Program Director, and execute development programs of significant size & complexity to achieve scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality requirements while demonstrating mastery of program management skills and a thorough understanding of multiple workstreams (of functions and Centers of Excellence).

The successful candidate (you) will

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive program management excellence for a portfolio of RMU programs
  • Support business development activities and pursuits which are constantly evolving to secure a healthy pipeline of projects
  • Achieve cost and schedule controls, business results including product certifications, aircraft certifications, and seamless entry into service on new product introductions
  • Partner with Product Management, Sales teams, Engineering, ISC, CBT teams, Law & Contracts, Customer Support, and other representation to deliver customer and business results
  • Communicate timely, accurate, and effective project and program status and actions to customers & internal organizations
  • Drive partnerships with the customers and/or partners to obtain certification
  • Develop professional relationships with leadership, decision-makers, stakeholders, and influencers and maintain excellent relationships with all levels of the matrix organization
  • Support aftermarket strategic plan (STRAP) development, pipeline, and annual operating plan (AOP) implementation
  • Develop and execute detailed action plans, including extensive risk/opportunity analysis, with Product Management, Engineering, ISC, Sales, and Airlines CBT teams for achieving revenue unlock and pipeline targets, including management of a "living greensheet"
  • Establish, maintain, and lead the IPT (Integrated Program Team) or Customer Core Team, including the execution of program plans, enabling processes, and deploy Program Management Operating System aligned with IPDS to integrate and drive program & project performance


YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant Engineering, Sales, or Business Management experience.



WE VALUE

  • BS or BA in Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field
  • Experience with Aircraft avionics and/or mechanical products (i.e., exterior lighting), system development, and certification process desired
  • Extensive aerospace commercial, defense & space customer experience and knowledge across multiple programs, projects, products, and customers (experience on an international level a plus.)
  • Strong business/financial acumen and understanding of Honeywell financials
  • Integrative thinker with demonstrated ability to solve complex, multi-faceted problems with due consideration for business and strategic consequences
  • Solid skill set in all aspects of Program Management including knowledge of IPDS and PM tools and processes.
    • Requirements Management & Fulfillment, Planning/Estimation
    • Scheduling including resource-loading critical path analysis
    • SOW, WBS, BOE, Integrated Master Schedule
    • Expert in Earned Value Management
    • Cost & Financials (ex. RDE, spend, forecast, variance)
    • Risk Management -Identification & Mitigation- Change Management
  • Strong experience with a track record of building & leading integrated teams from various internal & external organizations
  • Results-focused with a successful track record of accomplishments through skilled use of influence, persuasion, negotiation, and problem resolution
  • Self-starter who gets results and can work with limited supervision in a matrix structure
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
