Our work depends on a Program Manager joining our team to support one of our Federal customers in Rockville, MD.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Program Manager supporting our federal customer, you will be trusted to manage a very large and complex program with many technical teams spanning a vast array of IT support and technologies. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Acting as prime technical / managerial POC for all Customer interface and communication on Program and responsible for overall Customer satisfaction.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Health IT and Customer's existing and future needs and ensure GDIT is meeting and exceeding Customer expectations.
  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation.
  • Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems.
  • Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned programs.
  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
  • Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement.
  • Coordinates and monitors subcontractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances.
  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents.
  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
  • Participates in special projects as required.



**Location details: Work shall primarily be performed at Government facilities, to include Bethesda, Rockville, and Frederick. The Contractor is authorized to enable Contractor staff to telework when onsite presence is not required or in the event of a Government closure.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Must have the Program Management Professionals (PgMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Must have a B.S. or B.A. in relevant field plus 15 years of professional experience
  • Must have at least 8 years of experience managing large IT Operations and Maintenance contracts.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the most current ITIL standards; ITIL certification will be required within 3 months of hire, if not already held.
  • Should have knowledge of industry best practices such as those aligned to PMBOK, Lean IT, Agile, as well as DevSecOps.
  • Must have experience in project management, budget, and forecasting toolsets.
  • Practical experience with HHS EPLC is preferred.
