We are seeking a Senior Program Manager, Incident Response to facilitate continuous improvement for our company-wide, mission-critical response program. In this position, you will drive key initiatives to ensure preparedness for on-road mishaps - informed by real world and exercise experience. Additionally, this key role will need to collaborate effectively with a wide variety of partners, presenting key findings and recommendations to senior leaders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Quickly develop an in-depth understanding of existing on-road incident response processes and frameworks
- Scope and drive high-priority, cross-functional projects to enhance response, particularly in support of fully driverless operations
- Monitor key metrics for leading indicators of issues or improvement opportunities
- Facilitate analysis to identify trends and key drivers
- Identify and pursue opportunities to improve Cruise’s incident response performance; anticipate and solve for any key risks and opportunities
- Work closely with counterparts in Safety, Legal, Risk, Government Affairs, Engineering and other relevant stakeholders to incorporate input and build consensus
What you must have:
- BA / BS in a related field and 3+ years of directly relevant experience in project or program management
- Demonstrated passion for building and leading programs that protect an organization’s mission amidst adverse events
- Strong organization and project management skills; ability to work with a high level of autonomy while juggling multiple projects
- Comfortable with ambiguity; with a passion for creating order and structure
- Availability for occasional night/weekend on-call/work and travel if circumstances necessitate
- Attention to detail and thoroughness
- Self-starter with a bias for action
Bonus points!
- Law enforcement, first responder, insurance assessor, or other experience with emerging on-road situations
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certification
- Fleet management or mobility/transportation experience
- Entrepreneurial experience/ownership mentality or other innovation history
- Enthusiasm for the potential of autonomous driving to move life forward in our cities and improve road safety
