Senior Program Manager - C - 17 Development & ModsCompany:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000285867Date Posted:2021-11-24-08:00Location:USA - Long Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager (Level M) to join our C-17 Program Integrated Services team. In this role, the focus will be on the C-17 development & modification scope from inception thru fielding / sustainment transition. This position works across enterprise functions as a single point integrator responsible both internally and externally (to O-5 level customers) for successful structuring, contracting and execution of program / projects. This position includes a direct staff of approximately 8-10 project managers.This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at Long Beach, CA. If not located at the Primary Location of Long Beach, CA, this position will require up to 50% travel to split time in Long Beach, CA as well as support customer and supplier engagements. Position Responsibilities Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Experience in a role requiring project / program management skills
  • Experience managing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • Experience managing complex development projects from inception thru fielding / sustainment transition
  • Experience with DOD and/or government acquisition processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience with DAU (Defense Acquisition University) acquisition training
  • Program Management Best Practices or PMI certification
  • Earned Value Management certification
