Creighton University's School of Medicine is seeking to hire a Senior Program Coordinator to support the Lynch Comprehensive Cancer Research Center (LRCC). Support the LCCRC faculty, staff, and students to support research exploring molecular biomarkers and genetic associations during cancer development for the prevention and treatment of cancers of the ovary and colon.

This role will fulfill the role of Laboratory Core Coordinator for LCCRC's early cancer detection and diagnosis mission, perform technical and administrative duties for IGC.

Work on state-of-the-art high throughput single-cell genomics and cancer evolution studies.

Job duties:

  • Process samples and perform single-cell genomic studies
  • Harvests cell cultures and maintain cultures
  • Documents and analyze results using graphs and statistical tools
  • Organize and maintain the LCCRC Database
  • Coordinate access and scheduling of authorized IGC users
  • Coordinate LCCRC logistical functions including equipment, supply and chemical inventories


Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field strongly preferred. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement
  • 4 years administrative and/or office management experience
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency skills in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in molecular and cell culture experiment
  • Must be hard working, organized and motivated
  • Respectful, cooperative and team oriented
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to lead and train staff and/or students
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting procedures
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member, while exercising independent and critical judgment
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment
