About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager to join Uber's Core Services leadership team to help implement and develop operational processes, solve complex challenges, and be a force multiplier across the leadership team. You and your team are a bridge and a connector for cross functional teams contributing to high impact and high visibility projects that keep us moving forward.
What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
What the Candidate Will Do:
You will initially lead a 5-10 person team that has a track record of leading successful Technical Program Managers in delivering customer facing software. You will work with Uber engineering, product, operations and data teams to build quality software at a repeatable and predictable cadence. You will interface with key leaders to drive strong collaboration and partnership and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into program details when needed.
The role will require a mix of sound judgement, business curiosity, and strong program management. You will have a proven track record of being able to demonstrate a high degree of empathy and leadership skills. The team reporting into this high-impact role will be working cross-functionally and across geo teams.
Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of people management leading teams who have a proven track record of successfully delivering software.
  • A technical undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience partnering with cross functional leadership to identify, prioritize, and solve problems
  • Experience going through the full software cycle of requirements, design, coding/testing, rollout/deploy best practices in delivering world-class software and services.
  • Experience building, evolving and presenting a strong vision/roadmap for your team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A high bar across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on.
  • Grittiness - You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
  • Experience with managing cross-geo teams.
