As a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management (TPMs) you will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams, handling all aspects of technical projects for the organization. You will be responsible for initiating programs, tracking their progress, and serving as point of contact in the event issues arise. You will define strategies, regularly participate in executive meetings to present program progress, and share project information with the broader organization. Additionally, you will manage cross-functional teams of employees and outside vendors to develop effective schedules and suggest actions that need to be completed to successfully deliver the project. This will require you to track technical issues and effectively communicate project status and suggest changes to use resources more efficiently, identifying and escalating problems that affect the quality and reliability of the products. You will work to detect and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycle and create process improvements and organizational changes to ensure the success of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and drive high cost, high-benefit, large-scale software projects from ideation through implementation; own all aspects of delivery (planning, communication, execution, estimation, risk management, stakeholder management).
  • Create and maintain the technical implementation plan of record, providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership cross-functionally.
  • Work with partner organizations to manage technical and business aspects of project(s), partnering closely with Product Managers and Engineering Leads to drive alignment and prioritization.
  • Define, develop, roll out and continuously evolve development and release processes and tools, with the mindset of driving operational excellence and the ability to scale.
  • Develop and execute on organizational change management plans and communications.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience)
  • 7+ years of technical program management experience
  • Proven stakeholder management and alignment skills.
  • Managed a team of Technical Product Managers (TPMs)
  • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery.
  • Clear, concise, accurate communication (both verbal and written with audiences of varying technical abilities and business contexts).
  • A strong data-driven mentality and prioritization framework, to ensure focus on the highest impact work.
  • Able to dive deeply into both technical details and business needs.
  • Experience working with engineering teams to deliver products.
