The Senior Manager, Project Management provides leadership and oversight to the Brand Studio's project management team. The role will report to the Director/Account Leadership ad will work closely with the Director/Creative Leadership and the Senior Director, Marketing to guide the overall TBS workflow, processes, and financial performance of scopes and jobs. The Senior Manager will oversee and guide our approach to project management and how we collectively support our internal and external teams, relationships and process with a commitment to deliver the highest quality work on schedule and on budget. This role must be leader with a strong understanding of where we need to be as a group and how we can effectively and efficiently deliver quality work and value to the Cox organization
Responsibilities

  • Oversee Project Management/Operations
  • Ensure management of all projects and work from a resourcing (internal/external), timeline, deliverable, quality and budget standpoint using Workfront and other tools as necessary
  • Proactive in identifying challenges or opportunities as work is moving through TBS and alert all stakeholders to risks
  • Provide ongoing financial performance on The Brand Studio to ensure value to the organization is being delivered and optimization of existing resources and planning for new staff as needed
  • Support management of relationships with outside vendors and suppliers ensuring accuracy and quality in work deliverables, on time and on budget
  • Support management of relationships with freelance support on deliverables, expectations, timing, setup and reporting
  • Create and refine all processes as needed to reflect changing needs and expectations, new technologies and new areas of opportunity
  • Open jobs entering the Studio and assign a step-by-step schedule of completion to each job
  • Coordinate movement of all jobs through all agency departments (Account Service, Creative and Production)
  • Provide status reports of active jobs in the shop, assigning progress to each job
  • Review daily work schedule with Creative department and expedite all "crisis jobs"
  • Provide support in the management and development of all staff through sharing of best practices, providing leadership, sharing expectations, problem solving and working with their respective managers for better quality work and career development
  • Look for new learning experiences for staff members. Train them on new processes, businesses, technologies, thinking and ways of approaching a problem. Find time to aid them in their development. Challenge them for continued improvement.

Qualifications
Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Marketing, Business or Communications and 8 years 'experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years 'experience in a related field
  • 3 years 'experience in management or leadership role
  • Extensive, proven experience working in an accredited Advertising Agency with hands-on experience project managing marketing projects
  • Strong print production and creative experience with emphasis in Retail
  • Extensive agency experience and knowledge of the creative development process
  • Team player with strong cross-functional knowledge and communication skills
  • Extensive project management experience with a proven track record of problem solving
  • Expert in end-to-end project planning, project management, workflow process, creating/managing schedules, outside production/sourcing, vendor management, developing/tracking budgets for B2B and B2C clients and internal communications
  • Extensive experience in traffic, scheduling, estimating and creative work-flow experience
  • Strategic thinker, who can help build processes and act as an advisor to teams
  • Proficiency with digital platforms and applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Deep understanding of estimation and billing processes
  • Must be proficient in Workfront


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Marketing, Business or Communications
