Overview

The Intuit Design System (IDS) team aims to deliver a One Intuit design system for all of our cornerstone brands, including TurboTax, QuickBooks, ProConnect, and Mint. Our team mission is twofold:

  • For Intuit's customers: Deliver the benefit of confidence to customers traversing our ecosystem by presenting common interaction patterns that create familiarity over time and as customers explore our offerings. (I.e., Efficiency & effectiveness via familiarity)
  • For Intuit's employees: Guarantee speed to benefit with designers and developers reusing proven components to ship new product features swiftly. (I.e., Speed via trusted UI components, so there's more time to solve more significant challenges)



To help us achieve this, we are seeking a systems-thinking Senior Design Program Manager . In this role, you will drive the development and adoption of IDS as a program and all of its work that is core to the Intuit product experience. Work that will set the foundation for the various product teams and supporting design communities within our product platform. You will join a passionate design community that crafts world-class customer experiences to power prosperity across the globe. You can bring all the critical pieces together - strategy, business goals, design, execution, technology, and customer needs - to drive a cohesive customer experience for multiple platforms.

The IDS team is a small yet mighty community of designers dedicated to creating a unified system to support and scale our designs.

What you'll bring

What You Will Bring

  • Work boundaryless with business partners across business units to create repeatable frameworks and processes that enable IDS to create beautiful platform continuity.
  • You'll drive overall program management of IDS projects, including the facilitation and logistics, coordination of reports, and driving rigor for strong execution and accountability for the work.
  • Design and coordinate a cohesive plan to align Cross-business unit design leads and partners to deliver IDS projects.
  • Act as a critical POC, ambassador, and evangelist for the IDS program
  • Support operations functions and tasks, including the management of team budget and contractors
  • Align and drive partner management within the IDS core team as well as with cross-functional partners including technical program managers, engineering leads, and PM's
  • Drive essential team management functions, including team engagement planning and programs, tools implementation, resourcing management, team culture, and health.
  • Ability to partner across different business units and negotiate priorities with different segments.
  • Candidate should be able to assess and mediate needs of stakeholders to ensure smooth and seamless delivery.

  • You'll be a key ambassador and evangelist for the IDS program.
  • Drive overall program management of IDS, including planning and reporting - while driving a rigor for strong execution and accountability for the work.
  • Work across business and team boundaries to define and improve repeatable frameworks and processes that enable IDS to deliver with speed and quality.
  • Create resource plans and maintain alignment with partner teams who help deliver IDS priorities including designers, program managers, developers, and product management.
  • Support team operations, including the management of team budget and contractors.
  • Drive essential team health functions, including team engagement planning and programs, tools implementation, resource management, and team culture.
  • Partner across different business units, informing and negotiating priorities, and clearly communicating IDS plans across the company.
