Job Description

At Balsam Brands, our mission is to unlock creativity and create joy together. We are looking for a Senior Creative Project Manager with a strategic vision to facilitate planning, coordinate projects, find efficiencies, and establish metrics for reporting. They will work closely with our creative leaders, cross-functional partners, vendors, and other project and brand managers to forecast capacity, ensure alignment of priorities to meet business goals, and work collaboratively with a solution-first mindset.


This position is a part of the Creative Team that supports all brands, Marketing, and eCommerce channels in multiple geographies. It is very hands-on, collaborative, and action oriented. The Senior Creative Project Manager reports to the Creative Director and is responsible for helping transform the team into an efficient, trusted, and highly effective in-house agency. 

This is a full-time position located in Redwood City, California. We have a hybrid work setup, which will include a blend of days working in-office and remote once we can all safely return.


Key areas of responsibilities include optimizing workflows, supporting prioritization based on impact, negotiating cross-functionally while maintaining processes, and broadly sharing results and key milestones.

What you’ll do:

  • Independently leads and manages multiple creative projects, engaging directly with business partners, creative leadership, freelancers, and vendors to ensure successful delivery
  • Manages entire creative project lifecycles in a fast-paced environment and serves as a point of contact for all projects and creative agencies
  • Understands the importance of building relationships and is seen as a problem solver, identifies challenges, researches possible solutions, and makes recommendations
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and internal/external Creative Team members to coordinate or evolve processes, tasks, timelines, and ensure brand alignment
  • Works with external agency partners from inception to completion to execute creative deliverables
  • Reports weekly on progress, prioritization, and capacity to Creative team and stakeholders
  • Creates and presents monthly and quarterly creative reports including operational KPIs by brand and channel, forecasts resource capacity, and manages creative roadmap progress

What you bring to the table:

  • 4+ years in a Project Management role in a creative environment (either agency or in-house team) or closely related Traffic Management position
  • Highly self-motivated, with excellent communication skills, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Jira, or other Project Management tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work quickly and decisively, switching from Project Management tasks to critical thinking
  • Comfortable in team or autonomous work situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the business
  • Support process, proactively identifying challenges and fostering actionable solutions
  • Desire to create joy together at work!

 Bonus (but not required) if you have:

  • Familiarity with Trello
  • Experience using Slack and MS Outlook
  • Airtable platform
