Job Description

As a Professional Consultant with CapTech, your focus will be helping our clients deliver results against some of their most complex business and technology initiatives. Success within our diverse range of clients requires the ability to adapt and perform in numerous Project and Product Management environments. In this senior Agile position, your role as a Scrum Master, coach, and practitioner will require you to apply Agile values and principles for an organization transitioning to Agile ways of working.

Typical experience for successful candidates includes:

  • Establish collaborative partnership with key stakeholders and provide coaching at all levels in an emerging Agile environment
  • Assess the current organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Agile approaches
  • Perform as a Scrum Master as needed for one or more Scrum teams
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, planning sessions, team touch points and retrospectives
  • Support the triage and resolution of critical delivery issues
  • Prepare and deliver effective communications (written and verbal) regarding progress and status for both internal and client teams
  • Lead the implementation of team improvements on a continual basis 
  • Advocates for digital accessibility and inclusive design practices in all projects and client interactions

Qualifications

Specific qualifications for the Senior Agile Scrum Master position include:

  • Demonstrable experience as a Scrum Master, Agile coach and/or equivalent
  • Agile practitioner mindset with an understanding of common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and iterative development practices
  • Proven experience working in IT full development life cycle
  • CSM certification (or equivalent) preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex consulting engagements
  • Ability to help teams create effective user stories/epics, identify/resolve dependencies, and deliver optimal solutions
  • Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
