About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Account Manager who is passionate about working with customers to provide strategic and business level guidance. You will be responsible for the overall growth of assigned strategic accounts and will work closely with Customer Success Managers to develop and execute effective and efficient account planning strategies to drive customer retention and expansion growth. This Senior Account Manager will drive the formulation and execution of account plans and be a key relationship builder with executive decision-makers within assigned accounts. You will execute effective account management processes, track and communicate progress, maintain and develop forecasts and grow revenues across the full breadth of our products within their assigned territory.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain a long term strategic account plan to meet or exceed client objectives and OpenMarket’s sales goals. Work closely with clients to continually evolve the account strategy and ensure continuous alignment with account stakeholders’ needs and priorities. 
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers and other key stakeholders to identify white space opportunities within the assigned territory. In coordination with assigned Customer Success Managers, create a Quarterly Business Review process and cadence with clients to ensure alignment and nurturing of account growth.
  • Manage the interface between the client and OpenMarket’s personnel (including all sales, product teams, support, and customer success) to ensure effective alignment and cross-team communications.
  • Position and describe OpenMarket’s value proposition and suite of solutions to C-level management.
  • Sell and promote our products, including conducting demos, creating proposals, and managing contract negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate monthly forecasts.
  • Conduct weekly forecast and account planning meetings with the account management team.

What to Bring

  • 5+ years selling and account relationship management experience with mid-market and enterprise accounts.
  • Proven track record of achievement of revenue objectives.
  • Extensive experience in successful account plan development and execution.
  • Ability to operate in a highly technical environment, an aptitude, and enthusiasm for understanding complex systems and their applications are essential.
  • Level of comfort working in all business environments, from dealing with multinational companies through to emerging enterprises.
  • High level of motivation and ability to set challenging objectives and be persistent in pursuing them.
  • Experience in working with stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptionally self-motivated.
  • Telecom, Application-to-Person (A2P) Messaging, SaaS experience.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent experience.
