We are seeking a highly motivated Scrum Master to join our program to support the customer's mission through data discovery and sharing of new insights using existing and emerging technologies. The Scrum Master will be responsible for for setting the team up for success by adopting, implementing, and conducting Agile practices, including facilitating Scrum/Kanban processes, deliverables and communicating with stakeholders, escalating issues, removing impediments, and helping to manage risk. SAIC is seeking to fill this position with a seasoned Agile professional with excellent communication skills who understands Agile as a flexible framework, rather than a rigid methodology. This position also requires ensuring the customer's requirements are captured with comprehensive, accurate user stories and acceptance criteria that are managed in JIRA with a prioritized product backlog
Responsibilities include:
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting standard agile metrics as well as additional reporting requirements, as necessary
- Conducting Agile ceremonies
- Working with customers and developers, engineers to write user stories which are independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small and testable
- Ensuring user stories include validation criteria which reasonably covers all areas necessary for complete testing of the new functionality
- Acting as an interface and customer advocate to ensure customer, stakeholder and user needs are being addressed.
- Validating that product deliveries meet customer requirements and drive product demos
- Participating and leading backlog grooming sessions and demos
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience in following activities:
- Agile-based IT delivery, including leading Agile ceremonies
- Enabling daily operations of Scrum teams by analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines
- Producing and analyzing burn down charts and recommending ways to improve team deliverables and timelines
- Leading teams through resolution of program issues
- knowledge and application skills of lean Scrum, Kanban
- Proficient in JIRA and Confluence, and the rest of the Atlassian suite
- Desired:
- Experience developing, delivering, and maintaining enterprise services that enhance the overall data services
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Demonstrated ability to adjust to changing priorities
