What you will be doing:
The Scrum Master serves the Product Owner by:

  • Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team
  • Finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management.
  • Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
  • Understanding product planning in an empirical environment.
  • Acting as a liaison to resolve disputes between the Product Owner and the Development Team.
  • Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value


The Scrum Master services the Development Team by:

  • Coaching the Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Helping the Team to create high-value products
  • Removing impediments to the Team's progress.
  • Protecting the Team from external interruptions that could impact the Sprint Goal.
  • Coaching the Team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not fully adopted and understood.


The Scrum Master services the Organization by:

  • Leading and coaching the Organization in its Scrum adoption.
  • Planning Scrum implementations within the Organization.
  • Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development.
  • Identifying and encouraging change that increases the productivity of the Scrum Team.
  • Working with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of Scrum throughout the Organization.
  • Encouraging and cultivating a harmonious working relationship between the Scrum Team and the product or project stakeholders.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
  • An agile professional certification, such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), is preferred.
  • Experience working in a SAFe environment
  • Experience working in a data environment
  • Mediation and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable interacting with management executives and clients
  • Fosters an environment of collaboration and accountability
  • Willingness to adapt to different tools or processes, as required
  • Ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed and changing organization
  • Builds trusting relationships and alliances across technical and business communities
