Role Overview
Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology's Global Risk Analytics team is searching for a talented, seasoned and highly motivated Scrum Master. Programs focus on building the next generation model development and execution platform including data sourcing. This platform will leverage a host of interesting technologies including Spark and Hadoop and utilize a unique, user-configurable, workflow-driven, model execution approach. Programs include data sourcing as well migration of models away from existing platforms to the target platform. This is a multiyear effort in a business critical domain. Global Risk Analytics (GRA) is responsible for developing analytics to support risk modeling activities across all lines of business at the Bank. Uses include CCAR, CECL, IFRS 9 and other regulatory and management reports.

We are looking for looking for a talented and highly motivated Scrum Master who can lead key deliveries for the program. The right candidate will help deliver new functionality to the Global Risk Analytics team to deliver the models, framework and analysis needed to manage Risk and Capital effectively across Bank of America.
Required Skills and Experience we are Looking For:

  • 5-7 years experience in a Scrum Master role. The role is a key resource on an Agile team that Facilitates and monitors the Scrum process from project initiation through delivery. The Scrum Master serves as a liaison between the product owners and development team to ensure that all targets and requirements are met and ensures a backlog is created and maintained.
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum events such as daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint reviews, planning and retrospectives • Prepare for all scrum events to help drive efficiency during the events
  • Removes or addresses process and technical impediments
  • Facilitates productivity by removing impediments team will encounter, mediating through conflicts, helping team to make decisions and adhering to continuous improvement principles
  • Leveraging data to measure & monitor progress (Burndown charts etc.as being used by the organization) to increase the development effectiveness
  • Strong knowledge of Jira and the ability to use JQL to write queries and set up various reports or dashboards
  • Familiar with Agile Estimation Techniques such as Planning Poker
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior Financial Services company experience


Desired Skills and Experience we are Looking For:

  • Previous Project Management experience and working knowledge of SDLC
  • Knowledge of SAFe

Pay and benefits information
Jersey City pay range:
$89,200 - $144,700 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
Discretionary incentive eligible
This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
