Sinclair Broadcast Group is in search of a talented Scrum Master who is passionate about coaching teams on Scrum and Agile Principles throughout the organization. The ideal Scrum Master will have the experience and excitement to continuously improve the way we develop and deliver, with the flexibility to know how to help cater these principles to our environment and teams.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead the team through servant leadership
• Contribute to agile practice and communities

• Facilitate agile Scrum rituals and ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint

review, backlog refinement, and retrospective

• Track and report team performance metrics
• In partnership with Agile Delivery Manager/Enterprise Coach, assist with and implement improvements to agile processes
• Plan and coordinate schedules and resolve dependencies with other teams

• Remove project obstacles and develop solutions with the team
• Provide guidance to the team and partner organizations on how to use Scaled

Agile/Scrum practices and values

• Provide guidance to the team on how to self-organize
• Coach the team, filling in any gaps in knowledge of Scaled Agile/Scrum frameworks

and processes

• Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and organization, and coach the team to

higher levels of maturity at a comfortable and sustainable pace

• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of

blame, retribution, or judgment, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving

• Facilitate getting work done without coercion, assignment, or dictation
• Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency and radiating

information

• Provide all support to the team using servant leadership style and leading by example

• Contribute to portfolio activities, including keeping Agile Delivery Manager,

Enterprise Coach and Product Management in the loop; where valuable, coordinate

across the portfolio with other projects and Scrum Masters

• Participate in Operational Syncs (ART Sync, SoS, PO, Sync, etc.) with the Agile Delivery

Manager and Product Management and can create Action Plans

• Champion building Partner relationships and creating a unified environment where every team

member is valued

Required Qualifications:

• Certified SAFe® Scrum Master

• Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• 5+ years of Development and/or other IT experience
• 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
• 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps and Jira
• In-depth knowledge of SAFe, Scrum, and Agile development techniques

• Experience with large-scale application development
• Quick thinking, with intuitive problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple technical and business teams
• Experience working with large, small, remote, and collocated Scrum teams
• Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision

• Required knowledge and experience managing teams responsible for software design/development, testing, technical operations, and support
• Strong leadership, presentation, and troubleshooting skills
• Coaching and mentorship experience is a plus
• Comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments
