OUR TEAM 

Kinship Program Management Team, part of the Technology Department, is rapidly growing and is looking for a SCRUM Master to run multiple cross-functional projects. These projects span across various departments within technology, engineering, IT and Product. The SCRUM Master role will manage day-to-day tasks and execute these projects. 

HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

As a SCRUM Master), you will be responsible for running various cross functional projects sponsored by tech and report to the Principal Technical Program Manager. This team partners closely with business, Wisdom Panel and Whistle Teams, and OneKinship to  help manage various programs within Kinship brands as well as work streams that interact and partner with our parent organizations like Mars Petcare and Mars digital teams. 

This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, project management, and product to keep track of various parallel projects within tech and continue to provide cross-functional visibility, track progress and escalate/remediate road blocks. You will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, to execute day-to-day project operation, and adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs to deliver high quality products and solutions. The ideal candidate should have thrived and succeeded in executing SCRUM based projects delivering broadly adopted technology products or services in a very high growth environment. You should be a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence. You should have keen business sense and also have developed a deep understanding of technology. 

Qualified candidates have experience executing projects in parallel, track dependency, mapping product requirements to engineering functional specifications, leading large cross functional teams and successfully delivering complex programs at high scale. As a SCRUM Master, you will be assisting the Tech Program Manager to execute program visions and help establish program details. You are also comfortable in driving change, developing strategic technical initiatives, while being able to dive deep through the use of data.

As a Project Manager you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus constraints. An ability to navigate sophisticated systems and initiatives, breaking them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are critical to success in this role.

  • Lead day-to-day SCRUM projects or initiatives, having a clear and constant understanding of priorities to ensure expected outcomes are delivered.
  • Communicate project progress across stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and to ensure programs maintain forward momentum toward clear outcomes.
  • Understand system APIs and interdependencies and lead cross-functional teams to align and deliver on technical solutions.
  • Ensure clear accountability, timelines, and continuous change management to deliver timely, high-quality results.
  • Acts as a champion for Agile and Lean principles across the organization

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience in software engineering with at least 5+ years of experience managing projects working with engineering or product management teams
  • Proven experience managing, delivered, deployed multiple large scale projects in consumer market
  • Experience managing outcomes with external partners and vendors
  • Prior experience working with non-profit organizations is a big plus
  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining visibility across projects through detailed reporting powered by accurate data and metrics collection
  • Comfortable with API Gateway technology, common components, and platform services and how it works in large scale deployment
  • Good understanding of modern cloud friendly devops tools, SaaS, Infrastructure as Code, PaaS
  • Conceptual understanding of end-to-end deployment architecture including experience with CDNs, networking, distributed systems that yields high availability, active-active topologies
  • Prior project management experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or comparable public cloud
  • CSM certified desired
  • PMP certified a PLUS.
