Scrum Master, Mid
The Challenge:

Are you passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team that's creating efficiency in VA healthcare? As a Scrum master, you know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done. We need a Scrum master like you to help us accomplish critical projects that'll modernize the face of our Veterans healthcare.

On our team, you'll apply your functional knowledge to coach a development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. You'll apply basic Scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using tools like Jira and Microsoft Office applications, you'll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. In this role, you'll directly impact veterans by modernizing software platforms for veterans. This is an opportunity to grow your experience in tactical planning and delivery while developing and contributing to a variety of project solutions that will improve veteran's access to healthcare. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • Experience with Agile techniques, including user stories, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, continuous testing, pairing, or Agile games
  • Experience with MS Teams or Zoom online collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of techniques used to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach, numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, or handling bugs
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas in a non-technical way
  • Ability to facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience using Atlassian tools
  • Experience with the Salesforce platform
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and XP
  • Ability to educate teams on refining and maintaining the product backlog
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification

Vetting:

Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.

Compensation:

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 60,000 to 80,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
