As an Agility Lead (Scrum Master) you'll lead your team(s) by facilitating clear communication to management and to the team. You'll drive Agile and Lean frameworks that result in quality product delivery and continuous improvement. You embrace agility as a practice. The Agility Lead is responsible for removing impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and have a flexible approach that enables the team to rapidly respond to changes.

You will apply your leadership and technical understanding to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, and become a trusted partner with stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge applications enhanced by AI. As an agility lead, you will be leading a team(s) creating a new Digital Marketplace to better utilize Big Data at Chase. You will engage closely with Engineering, Business, Architecture, and other Engineering teams in a high performing creative Agile environment. You welcome the challenge of being involved in a strategic, high visibility project within the company. You enjoy the nimbleness of our startup group, building new products and services, within the stability of an established company and market leader.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Work with the Product Owner, Development team and the Organization to align team with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary factors
• Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
• Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coach teams to conduct continuous improvement events
• Seek opportunities for improvement to the overall effectiveness of teams and the organization
• Communicate organizational impediments to leadership; clears impediments for the team
• Understands and helps expedite internal processes
• Embraces the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instills the same in the team(s) you coach
• Other responsibilities that may develop from time to time, in line with a new product and startup mindset.

You come with a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Strong familiarity and adherence to core Agile values and principles
• Experience as a practicing Agility Lead / Scrum Master on a team
• Exposure to modern engineering practices like Unit Test-Driven Development, Acceptance Test-Driven Development, and Continuous Integration
• A mindset of servant leadership
• A deep understanding of how the technology works (especially full stack Java applications), although you are not building it yourself
• Expert with Agile and Scrum framework and its day to day application
• Ability to coach world class technologists on best practices
• Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
• Proficiency with JIRA
• Leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and more to serve the team(s)
• (Preferred) A deep understanding of the SDLC at Chase
• (Preferred) Familiarity with how AI/ML technology is built
