The job profile for this position is Scrum Master, which is a Band 4 Career Track Role. The Scrum Master provides hands on support to Epic by interfacing with product managers, business SMEs and technical teams within an agile framework to support, develop and deploy business solutions for Cigna Medical Group and Evernorth Direct Health product lines.

This role is Flex which allows most work to be performed at home or on occasion at a Cigna office location. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Experience Owner/Agile Product Owner and technical team to re-balance and re-prioritize work within an iteration or Program Increment (PI)
  • Works with business partners and development leads during epic, feature, and user story creation to fully document scope and develop a solution based on business need
  • Foster agile team collaboration and maturity; facilitates agile ceremonies; proactively identify and resolve impediments through the use of peer network and informal channels
  • Acts as a domain subject matter expert (SME) in product, business processes and supported technology solutions
  • Assists in identifying and documenting requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Provides visibility into delivery targets, commitments and progress



Required Experience / Qualifications:

  • Experience with Epic and/or other EMR/EHR technologies.
  • Bachelor degree in business or computer science with a minimum 5+ years of demonstrated experience working on multiple diverse projects with complex requirements and challenging timelines or equivalent experience
  • Direct experience or strong understanding of using agile software (Jira, Rally) to design and execute work in sprint cycles while leveraging typical agile ceremonies within agile/waterfall software development lifecycles
  • Requirement elicitation, gathering and documentation skills
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and articulate business needs to technical teams and technical solutions to the business



Desired Experience / Qualifications:

  • Agile and/or Scrum Master certification preferred
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills with ability to execute with limited information
  • Experience in the healthcare domain; Medicare Advantage a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to facilitate large, diverse group conversations in virtual and in-person settings
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and prioritize multiple assigned projects
  • Ability to navigate a highly-matrixed organization effectively



For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $99,900 - $166,500, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
