Job Description
ServiceNow is looking for an experienced professional to join our purpose-driven organization, to oversee operational excellence for our public sector industry market. This position will involve cross-functional work with leadership, sales teams, and supporting organizations within our State and Local Government business.
The candidate must have a proven track record of driving strategic outcomes through a diverse ecosystem: building consistent and disciplined processes, influencing innovation through deal expertise, as well as program and project management experience.
In addition, the candidate should have a broad and deep expertise in government contracting and reseller and distributor partnerships. The successful candidate must be able to balance strategic-thinking with tactical execution; build effective and enduring trusted relationships, drive highly cross-functional processes, possess a sound technical understanding of the contract vehicles, and have an action-oriented attitude.
What you will do in this role:
• Central point of contact for cross-functional teams, including Partner channel, Sales Operations, Legal, Finance and other areas to manage complex contracts and proposal process in order to drive operational excellence.
• Align with the Proposals team on opportunities and contracts to insure adherence to policy and laws. Work with our Alliances team to optimize contract effectiveness.
• Serve as an escalation point for Sales and Partners with regards to specific deal issues to streamline resolution for State and Local business.
• Subject matter expert responding to contract inquiries from the field. Ensure compliance with public sector contracting vehicles and usage to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition.
• Work in partnership with Sales Leadership and internal functional leaders to drive action and build world class execution capability.
• Manage the distribution model in collaboration with the supportive ecosystem.
• Identify, document and enable the sales organization's knowledge of buying processes and contracting vehicle requirements for process improvement and produtivity.
Qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing aspects of contract compliance with State and Local Government customers. Experience working with Channel Partners, preferably in a public sector contract capacity.
• Minimum of 5 years either in a procurement group or Sales/Business Development organization with responsibility is to enforce contract terms and conditions.
• Deep understanding of governance of procurement contracts, ability to manage all public sector procurement vehicles. Experience with government agencies is a plus.
• Knowledge of deal qualification, distribution, pricing strategies, prime contracts and SAAS model is important and desired.
• Demonstrate operations management experience, including process improvements (systems, tools, and documentation).
• Strategic thinker, who is also execution oriented; experienced in driving cross functional programs or processes.
• Effective at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing others; experience working with senior executives/ partners in cross-company projects.
• Strong communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions.
• Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.

Flexible
A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
Remote
A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
