Asset & Wealth Management Chief Data Office - Data Quality Project Manager (VP)

Overview
A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The Asset & Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) was established to define AWM's data strategy and support the consumption and use of data used across AWM. Given the impact of Data Quality to the Firm, establishing a robust environment for preventing, identifying and responding to Data Quality issues is crucial. The AWM Data Quality strategy seeks to evolve our collective focus from being primarily reactive in managing data quality to being proactive and eventually preventative.
Within the CDO, the sub line of business Data Quality team partners with stakeholders from their business, controls, compliance, legal, operations, technology and the central CDO DQ Governance team.
The Data Quality team, under the leadership of the Data Quality Project Manager, will oversee the Data Quality issue management process, governance, metrics, and strategy to ensure alignment to the firm's data governance policy and AWM Operations business objectives.
The Data Quality Project Manager will oversee Data Quality intake and issue management processes, metrics, and reporting to drive data quality throughput and ensure alignment to the data strategy for the sub line of business.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sub business data quality operations with oversight of data quality review board, working groups, and business analysts
  • Facilitate intake of new issues for assessment and triage
  • Define data quality reporting requirements for sub line of business
  • Maintain a strong network with key stakeholders including CDO partners, Operations, and Tech
  • Serve as a key point of escalation and liaise with partners to resolve issues where required.
  • Understand, assess and monitor data quality management risks and key risk indicators
  • Partner with stakeholders and controls management to ensure appropriate control environment and manage/advise on escalated issues


Qualifications, experience, skills and attributes:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Data Governance, Project Management, or Business Management functions
  • Knowledge and experience in data management and technology functions preferred
  • Financial Industry experience preferred
  • Excellent management and delivery skills
  • Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like manner and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly define and deconstruct problems leveraging strong analytical and end-to-end problem solving skills.
  • Takes accountability for completing deliverables and enjoys owning tasks and jumping in to deliver
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills,
  • Self-starter, drive for results, effective at prioritizing and managing multiple complex initiatives concurrently.
  • Very detail oriented and able to abstract detail and impact to a higher level
  • Independent, organized, self-motivated and a team player.
  • Ability to think through and outline work processes in a thoughtful and detailed manner
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively; be proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses excellent judgment, knows when to escalate complex issues to senior management or functional partners with relevant expertise.
  • Adaptable to work in an evolving and changeable environment.

Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); Advanced skills with standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project); Familiarity with process-mapping tools (e.g. MS Visio, etc.)
